Scuba Diving provides quite a unique opportunity to explore the world that lies beneath the ocean surface and
to bring home some tasty food for family and friends to share!
Did you know that some of the best wreck diving on the Gulf Coast is just down the road? That's right, the Gulf
of Mexico off of Panama City has over 50 artificial reefs, and several natural limestone reefs. Materials used
to build these reefs are varied; from old bridge sections, to Navy and civilian ships, barges, Army Tanks, and
aircraft. The reefs hold a wide range of aquatic life, including schools of Amberjack, Atlantic Spadefish,
Barracudas, sharks, and several species of Grouper such as the Goliath Grouper or Jewfish. Or, if you prefer
a tasty meal to catch, Florida Spiny Lobsters and the more common Shovelnose Lobster will be something to
keep an eye out for.
